Ana Kutleša is a curator and cultural organizer. Since 2009, she has been part of the curatorial collective BLOK. In 2019, she co-initiated BLOK’s long-term, award-winning project “Trešnjevka Neighbourhood Museum” and from 2021 on within the Museum she leads Living Heritage, an ongoing cultural artistic program. As a part of BLOK, she conceived and carried out numerous exhibitions, public art interventions, interdisciplinary projects, educational programs and workshops and co-edited several publications. From 2009 to 2015 she was a part of the curatorial team of UrbanFestival, an international festival of art in public space established in 2001 by BLOK. As independent author, she published reviews, essays, short fiction and interviews in several Croatian media and local and international publications.

Angela Giorgi is a communication strategist, press officer, and social media manager with a background in philosophy and journalism. Until 2018, she served as the press officer for Umbria Jazz, Italy’s most renowned jazz festival. She later collaborated with Re:Jazz Festival and other music organisations, further developing her expertise in cultural communication. Since 2023, she has been the communication officer at Lavanderia a Vapore, where she curates visual campaigns, supervises overall communication strategy, and coordinates the development of related tools.

Anna Chrtková is an artist, curator and scenographer based in Prague. Her practice focuses on creating shared spaces with a focus on different speeds of the presentation act. She (together with Petr Dlouhý) runs and curates the multidisciplinary event series Y Events in X10 Theatre and is a member of the tired artist collective Monika. Together with the collective Intelekturálně, she holds a Prize For Imagination at the Prague Quadrennial 2019 for the project Prague is not Czech. She is a doctoral student and an external lecturer at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, with artistic research on the scenographic tools for curatorial action.

Anna Näslund is professor of Art History at Stockholm University and researcher at the Institute for Futures Studies in Stockholm. She has written extensively on various aspects of photography and visual culture, the digital turn, archive and museum practices. She is currently PI of the research project Selling Pictures: Pictorial Economy and Commoditization 1820-2020 (VR/Swedish Research Council). Previous projects include The Politics of Metadata (VR, 2019-2023) and Sharing the Visual Heritage (VR, 2019-2023) and she has been the coordinator of the research programme DIGARV on digitization and access of cultural heritage collection (2019-2025).

Anna Norberg has been the Site Manager and Producer at Baltic Art Center since 2014. As Site Manager, she is in charge of the administration as well as introducing residency artists to Gotland. She guides them to locations all over the island and connects them to local partners. She facilitates the production of the residency artists’ projects and new works. She also works internationally as an artist, while she has been based on Gotland since 2004. She holds an MFA in Glass from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Baltic Art Center (BAC) is an artist residency based on Gotland, in the middle of the Baltic Sea. Since 2001, it has offered artists and cultural practitioners time, space and resources to work from Visby, a medieval town on the UNESCO World Heritage List. For BAC, the island is more than a location. Artists are invited to use Gotland as an extended studio – to move through its places, histories and communities, and to let the conditions of the island become part of the artistic process. As an international meeting place in the Baltic Sea region, BAC connects artists and organisations across borders while remaining rooted in its local context. Its programme is shaped by questions of sustainability, diverse artistic practices and cultural exchange within international contemporary art.

After studying economics at the Czech University of Life Sciences, Barbora Koláčková went to study marketing at the Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Later, she worked in marketing and PR in multinational companies and she made a significant impact in the Prague Botanic Garden where she worked as a deputy director and directed the marketing and events for the public department. After her maternity leave, she came to Theatre X10. She oversees the theatre’s marketing and PR, especially the social networks and the website. She also cooperates with the Czech Association of Independent Theatre.

Founded in 2001, BLOK is a curatorial collective working on the democratisation of culture and art. Its practice brings together socially engaged artistic work, publishing, political and artistic education, and the organising of cultural workers in the struggle for better working conditions. BLOK works from Zagreb, through BAZA, a space for art and activism in Trešnjevka, the city’s largest neighbourhood. Marked by industrial history, workers’ resistance and collective organising, Trešnjevka is not only a local context for BLOK. It is a place from which questions of culture, labour, memory and public life are opened through collective work and situated practice. Through the Trešnjevka Neighbourhood Museum, BLOK works with former and current inhabitants to collect objects and stories connected to the neighbourhood’s pre-2000 history. The archive works as a public and artistic tool: a starting point for exhibitions, commissions, walks, publications, podcasts, cinema sessions and other formats that connect local memory with contemporary social questions. BLOK’s work also addresses the conditions of cultural labour. Through programmes such as Political School for Artists (and all interested…) and Applause Won’t Cover the Rent, BLOK works with cultural workers on the theory and practice of organising in a field still shaped by ideas of inspiration, talent, autonomy and unpaid labour.

Božena Končić Badurina is an award-winning visual artist whose recent work addresses women overlooked by official socio-political narratives. Recent projects include Flowers for Maria Vinski; Jadranka’s First Life; From 4 to 23; If the Factory Honked; Equality, Fraternity, Liberty: Where Are You? and Here and There. Her work has been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions.

Since 2009 Carlotta Pedrazzoli has been working at Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo, a multidisciplinary circuit focusing on performing arts, programming shows and carrying out projects to promote contemporary dance. Since 2015 she has been in charge of programming dance performances at Lavanderia a Vapore, a theatre and a centre for performing arts residencies.

Chiara Organtini is a curator and project developer. For 12 years, she was part of Indisciplinarte, an organization that supports art as an agent of urban change: she contributed to the development of CAOS Centro Arti Opificio Siri, a 6,000-square-meter multidisciplinary space housed in a former factory in the post-industrial city of Terni, and to the curation of the Terni International Festival of Contemporary Creation. She has been involved in the European platform INSITU for creation in public space and in the European project Reshape as part of the research trajectory “Art and Citizenship: How the Arts Can Radically Reimagine Forms of Citizenship and Empower Us to Act”, researching the notion of civic imagination and the arts as a space for enacting alternatives, as well as curating immersive experiences and contexts where content can be collectively generated. Since 2019, she has been part of the Santarcangelo Festival, working in particular on BEPART art beyond participation, a large-scale Creative Europe cooperation project involving 10 partner organisations in Europe and North Africa to investigate collaborative forms of artistic creation and the ethics of participation. Since 2022, she has been project manager at Lavanderia a Vapore in Collegno (TO), the European House of Dance and Residency Center of the Piedmont Region, managed by Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo.

Diana Meheik holds an MA in dramaturgy of performance at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. She finished the educational program of the Center for Women Studies in Zagreb. Since 2010 she has been working as a dramaturg and cultural worker. She is the author of several dramatic texts. For the web portal Kulturpunkt she publishes essays and reviews focused on decolonial and anti-zionist resistance in the field of culture.

Founded in 2013 and based in the historic Art Industry Building in Prague’s downtown since 2017, Divadlo X10 has evolved into one of the largest and most recognised non-profit NGO platforms within the Czech independent performing arts scene. As an open, multigenerational creative community and the recipient of the “Theatre of the Year 2023” award, X10 hosts over 250 events annually, including more than six premieres and extensive international touring. The platform aims to foster critical, independent thinking by combining its resident ensemble—celebrated for its collective, gender-fluid, and socially engaged contemporary drama—with a robust co-production house supporting diverse artistic disciplines. Reflecting urgent global issues from political radicalisation to the climate crisis, X10’s strategic vision leading up to 2030 emphasises sustainable European and Euro-Asian partnerships. This includes its 2026 programming, highlighted by transnational productions and the Kutná Hora Performing Arts Festival, an annual showcase of original works from Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern Europe, all while actively working to reduce labor precarity in the cultural sector.

Dušica Dražić (1979, Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia) is an artist, independent curator, and co-founder and co-director of Out of Sight in Antwerp (2018–). She is a researcher at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and a member of the Art & Ecology research group (2025–2027). She was co-author and project coordinator of On Mobilisation. Micro- and Transnational Community Mobilisation through Artistic Practice (2023–2025) for wpZimmer, where she worked as a creative producer and artistic collaborator from 2020 to 2025. She was an artist, researcher and project manager for Forest Encounters (2023–2025), and is a co-author, researcher and project manager of On Mobilisation. Towards Multivocal Collaborative Futures (2026–2029) for Out of Sight. All three projects were co-funded by the European Union through Creative Europe.

In her artistic and curatorial practice, she explores the interrelations between places and their users, addressing questions of cultural continuity, symbolic irregularities, and individual agency. Her work focuses on methods of knowledge production in relation to social, political, and aesthetic transformations in public space, while examining the conditions needed for people to mobilise, enter collective authorship and imagine shared futures.

Recent transnational collaborative artistic and curatorial research projects include Close Encounters (2024–2026), Six Samples of Disaster (2024-2025), It Rains Differently — We Plant Forest, Forest Is Planting Us! (2021–2026), All That We Have Here Is All That We’ve Always Had (2023), and Symptoms of the Future (2020–2022), a.o.

Dušica is currently the Board Member of Messidor and Storm op komst. Throughout her professional career, she has served on numerous juries (including open calls for projects and residencies, as well as film festival juries) and has given many artist talks. Her work has been published in numerous publications, and she has co-edited artist books and other publications.

A formal education in Cultural Studies and dance techniques in Italy and London (The Place) and a broader, unofficial, nonlinear education brought her to live in Rotterdam, Poland and then Milan, crossing somatic practices and the use of voice. At some point, she starts to question whether performing arts can provide tools for urban and social policies. Her research intends to expand the choreographic practice to the point of being a tool for making shifts of attention happen, observing relational dynamics, overturning narratives and critically re-reading contexts. She keeps on creating new formats that are participatory in different ways. All her artistic outputs result from shared processes that include the contribution of different people: Francesco Dalmasso, Masako Matsushita, Daniele Pennati, Sara Catellani, Cristina Pancini, Susanna Iheme, Marta Ciappina, Olimpia Fortuni Alessandro Tollari, Barbara Stimoli, Silvia Tagliazucchi, and many other people in different ways. Her works have been presented in various contexts in Europe and Canada. Since 2024, she has been curating the artistic direction of Festival ORLANDO in Bergamo, following her need to operate on a single territory, in a long term perspective, combining relational practice, artistic sensitivity and a wish to multiply voices and actions within a specific context.

Since 2017, Helena Selder has been the Artistic Director of the Baltic Art Centre, an international residency project for contemporary art based on the Swedish island of Gotland. In her curatorial practice, she has been interested in developing long-term collaborations and exchanges between artists, local communities, sites, and stakeholders, and in facilitating the processes, projects, and shifts in perception generated through these encounters, which often take place in public spaces. Social and environmental sustainability has been at the core of the BAC residency programme and is reflected in art projects that highlight the role of art and artists in understanding climate change, geopolitics, and social transformations, as well as their impact on society. Recent collaborations include: On Mobilisation, an ongoing European cooperation project (2023-2025, 2026–2029); Red Herring, a Baltic Sea-based art and science network (2024–2025); and Community of Communities, a Swedish–Ukrainian cooperation project (2025–2026). In collaboration with the Uppsala University Graduate School of Sustainability Studies, she established an Artistic Research Fellowship inviting artists with a special focus on sustainability to participate in the GRASS Fellow Programme (2022). She was one of the founders of the Swedish Artist Residency Network (SWAN) and acted as chair of its newly formed board in 2023. From 2019 to 2021, she curated the Art in Urban Development Project Visborg on Gotland for Region Gotland and Public Art Agency Sweden. She is the author of Outside the Institutional Walls, a survey commissioned by Public Art Agency Sweden in 2020 that explores how local art institutions in Sweden work in public space.

Jija Sohn is a Korean-Japanese artist engaged in the creation of new formats for using performative conditions to study how moments of epiphany, intimacy, pleasure, and trust arise. Her work focuses on how we work and relate, foregrounding processes as a relational and experiential space. Her current research, Posture of Liquidity (2025- ) at Lavanderia a Vapore with the support of Viernulvier, unfolds by connecting her aquatic bodywork practice and her pedagogical work at DAS Theatre (ATD), each continually informing and reshaping the other. Since 2026, Jija Sohn is a Watsu practitioner and Waterdance provider, working with water as a space for non-linearity, touch, and deep listening. In parallel, she facilitates Listening Bodies, a trajectory within the DAS Theatre Master’s program (2023-), where she works with students through body- and movement-based sessions to cultivate bodily attunement, fluid group dynamics, and co-learning environments rooted in care, playfulness, and shared curiosity.

Kateř Tureček is a multidisciplinary artist primarily focuses on documentary filmmaking, education, and activism, putting upfront taboo subjects, the portrayal of authenticity, and various formal approaches in documentary filmmaking. Kateř uses the public interest generated by the films to raise awareness of these topics in the media. They focuses on community-based filmmaking in collaboration with marginalized groups of creators and applies these principles to the presentation of his work as well while addressing the need of resetting the values which we relate to success in order to prevent burnouts, finding ways how we can empower each other and creating structures of mutual support.

Kryštof Koláček is a cultural manager with over 20 years of experience working with arts, culture and business. He worked besides other things as a manager of the A studio Rubín and as a deputy director of the Městské divadlo in Kladno. Since 2008, he has sat on the board of directors of A studio Rubín o.p.s. He became the manager of the Divadlo X10 at the end of 2014. He is the founder of Kutná Hora Performing Arts Festival. As a representative of the Czech Association of Independent Theatre, he was an auditor of The European Association of Independent Performing Arts (EAIPA) which assembles the national associations on the European level. The Czech Association of Independent Theatre was a founding member of EAIPA. In May 2023 he was elected president of EAIPA.

Lavanderia a Vapore is a Dancehouse in Collegno, near Turin, and a research centre for contemporary artistic experimentation. Its work starts from dance, but moves beyond the stage: dance becomes a way to read the present through bodies, relations, emotions and shared experience. Lavanderia a Vapore is conceived as a protected and permeable space, built through relationships. It opens itself to different voices, cross-sector collaborations and territorial involvement, working with choral forms, collective practices and visions rooted in the urgencies of civil society. Through projects, residencies, public programmes and moments of presentation, Lavanderia a Vapore tests how artistic experience and imagination can enter processes of social transformation. It works as a threshold space: a place where artists can develop their practice, where the unnoticed can emerge, and where relations between art and civil society can be rethought. Its programme generates questions, alliances and common ground around possible futures shaped by equity, collaboration and sustainability.

Maja Blažević holds MA in Journalism. Since 1998 she has been collaborating with various organisations and companies in the field of culture as a program coordinator, in editorial, administrative, sales, promotion and advertising work (URK, publishing houses Fraktura and Ljevak, Media press Adria, Audio Store Transonica). She has been employed at BLOK since 2023 as chief administrator and a program implementation assistant.

Born and raised in an artist family on Gotland, with roots from both Sweden and Italy. After studying at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and the Institute of American Indian Arts New Mexico USA, Nydahl-Müller started her own artistic practice in the early 1990s, working with both visual art and design. In the early 2000s, after further studies in art education, she began teaching adults and young people in 2D and 3D art. Since 2022, Nydahl Müller has been employed as one of the head art teacher at the Visual Arts Department of the Aesthetic Program at Wisbygymnasiet in Visby, where she now holds her position as an art educator alongside her own artistic work.

Novelist and poet Olja Savičević Ivančević (Split, 1974.) is one of the most prominent contemporary Croatian authors. Politically and socially engaged, Olja’s work is a part of many Croatian anthologies and international selections. Her novels, poetry collections and theatre plays have received numerous awards and honours, and her books have been translated and published into fifteen languages. Excerpts of her prose and poetry have been translated and published into over 40 languages worldwide. Her works include novels Adios Cowboy, Singer in the Night and Summers with Maria, and poetry collections such as Mamasafari, House Rules, Wild and Yours…

Out of Sight is a non-profit, artist-run venue for contemporary art based in Antwerp. Founded in 2018 by artists Dušica Dražić and Wim Janssen, it works at the intersection of artistic research, social engagement and civic participation. The programme supports audiovisual, experimental and time-based artistic practices through presentation, mediation and public formats. In its work, art becomes a shared space for inquiry, learning and collective imagination, involving artists, cultural workers, residents, researchers, civil society actors and audiences. Out of Sight looks for potential in what is often perceived as different, marginal, unprofitable or even unwanted. It makes room for the ephemeral and the ambiguous, and for artistic situations where the poetic and the political meet. The organisation works through exhibitions, performances, screenings, residencies, workshops and multidisciplinary public programmes. Its formats are low-threshold, free, locally embedded and connected to transnational networks.

Petr Dlouhý is a Prague-based curator, researcher, producer and host in the field of independent performing arts. Working within diverse scales ranging from DIY initiatives and established institutions, his activities aim to break the spell of gate-kept resources and hold spaces of togetherness. His tools utilise event organising, tarot readings & community building to allow artists develop & present their work and to create a sense of belonging among artists-institutions-audience-culture workers. Petr’s interests are nourished in projects that embrace curiosity and mutual learning.

After earning a master’s degree in Museums, Galleries, and Contemporary Culture from the University of Westminster, UK, through the prestigious Chevening International Scholarship program, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), Rakin moved to Belgium. Currently he lives in Brussels, working in the field of communication and marketing, collaborating on international and national projects, for organisations and individuals, a.o.: Passacaille Records, wpZimmer, OUT OF SIGHT,
BL!NDMAN. During his 15-year journey in Belgrade (Serbia), Ratko Rakin worked in communications and marketing across various sectors, specialised in communications in the arts and culture field, working with prominent institutions and organisations in the Balkan region. These include the National Theater in Belgrade, the Exit Festival in Novi Sad, the National Broadcasting TV and Radio Station, the October Salon Belgrade Biennale, the Belgrade Cultural Center, and the Mikser Festival. Ratko Rakin joined “On Mobilisation. Micro- and Transnational Community Mobilisation through Artistic Practice” project in June 2024, leading the Communication Circle till the end of the project in 2025.

Renata Filčić is curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb (MSU Zagreb). Her professional work is focused on developing participatory and inclusive practices in culture, empowering communities and rethinking museums as a space of encounter, dialogue and social engagement. She is the author and manager of the Meeting point project, long term participatory program which researches the relations between the museum, public space and local community. In the framework of the program she develops and coordinates several participatory communities, such as Friends of MSU, MSU seniors and MSU gardening community.

Salvo Lombardo, a performer, choreographer, multimedia director and curator of performance projects, is the artistic director of Chiasma. His works have been staged at numerous festivals, theatres, museums and independent venues in Italy and abroad. From 2012 to 2015, he was a director and actor with Clinica Mammut. In 2015–2016, he was a resident choreographer at Anghiari Dance Hub. In 2017, he was a guest choreographer for Aura Dance Theatre in Kaunas (Lithuania). From 2016 to 2020, he collaborated as a choreographer with the Fabbrica Europa Festival. In 2017–2018, he was an associate artist at the Oriente Occidente Festival. With the project “Opacity”, he was selected for the NID – New Italian Dance Platform and served as a jury member for the DNAppunti coreografici award, organised by various Italian dance production centres. Since 2019, he has been co-curator of the Resurface Festival in Rome. Since 2021, he has been an associate artist at Lavanderia a Vapore. Since 2021, he has been the curator of the Interazioni Festival in Rome, a programme based on the exchange of practices between dance makers and the public. He is one of the artists involved in the European MMDD project (focusing on research into micro and macro dramaturgy in dance) and, together with Chiasma, is one of the partners in the 18M8L project (as part of Boarding Pass Plus). In 2021, he was selected as an artist by the European network BeSpectActive!, for which he created “Punctum”, a community-based, interactive work involving 12 European countries. ​ He is part of the team of artists and researchers at Schaubühne Lindenfels Leipzig (DE) as part of May Town 2022. Since 2022, he has been an associate artist with the MILANoLTRE Festival.

Šárka Zahálková is an artist, curator, cultural manager, and activist. Her work grows from a long-standing interest in art as a catalyst for social change, art situated in public space, acoustic ecology, and collective, non-hierarchical collaboration across disciplines.
Walking and listening, together with a conscious and sensitive engagement with place and sustained interaction with communities, form the ground of her artistic and curatorial practice. Moving fluidly between drawing, installation, sound art, and community-oriented participatory projects, she explores art as a shared process rather than a fixed outcome. She holds a PhD from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and currently works as an assistant professor in the Visiting Artist Studio at FaVU, Brno.

Tea Kantoci is a curator and researcher working across performance, experimental and interdisciplinary practices, and engaged museology. Part of the team behind Antisezona, a year-round programme of contemporary dance and performance at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, and Improspekcije / PoslijeSvijet, a festival exploring embodied futures through live art. Engaged in collaborative initiatives focused on autonomous cultural production, spatial practices, and archival work, including the digitization and contextualization of performing arts, as well as the development of discursive and research-based formats. Co-founder of a feminist reading-viewing club with Nina Gojić. Holds degrees in journalism, fashion theory, and museum studies, and is a graduate of the Center for Women’s Studies in Zagreb.

Toril Johannessen (based in Bergen, Norway) works across various media, such as prints, textiles and installations. Her artistic work ranges from research based and systematic collection of information to sensuous expressions in the use of form and materials. The artist’s visual language, especially the printed works, often shows seemingly sober and documentary forms of representation, such as maps, graphs and diagrams. Alternating between methodological precision and personal approaches, she sheds light on the role of values and subjectivity in the presentation and interpretation of facts and information. A recurring theme in Toril Johannesson’s practice is the impact of historical, political and technological conditions on modes of perception. In recent years, she’s been particularly interested in the cultural, political and military landscape of the so-called High North. Recent work includes solo shows at Tromsø Kunstforening (2025), Bergen Kunsthall (2024), die raum (2024) and OSL Contemporary (2023), and public commissions for KORO/Evenes Air Station (2023) and City of Bergen (2022).

Wim Janssen is an artist, curator and co-founder of Out of Sight (2018-) in Antwerp, where he currently lives and works. He works with technologies and functions of audio-visual media. This takes form in media installations, videos and films. Often, his works are translations of one medium into another. His work has been shown on important Festivals as Ars Electronica in Linz, IFFR in Rotterdam and venues as the Museum of Contemporary art Belgrade and the MUHKA in Antwerp. In addition to his own artistic practice, he has been producing audiovisual works for David Claerbout and others since 2006. Since 2017, he has been a lecturer at the Maastricht Drama Academy.

Operating as a vital conceptual division of Divadlo X10, Y Events is a programming line established in 2019 that bridges the gap between performing arts, visual arts, and contemporary theory. This platform curates long-durational collaborative events formatted around pressing societal themes such as ecology, feminism, technology, and decolonisation, presenting live art, video games, installations, and participatory formats. By combining targeted invitations with local open calls, each event unites 6 to 12 artists and theorists, connecting emerging talents with established figures in an inclusive, intergenerational dialogue. Y Events fills a niche in the Czech cultural landscape, creating a unique space where theatre-goers and visual arts audiences converge. The series expands its international footprint through major co-productions, such as the Y: Slow TV Cinema project with prominent European festivals and an upcoming 2026 collaboration with Poland’s Komuna Warszawa, while maintaining a dedicated digital archive to ensure long-term accessibility and ongoing research.

Zone of Dawn emerged in 2026 as a metastable collective, existing in a state of constant potential, neither fully stable nor collapsing.

Our name, Zone of Dawn, derives from a word game, a linguistic apparition that emerged from the in-between of the languages we inhabit. We gather under this name to be able to be together, exchange among ourselves as a Study Circle, and among the multi-layered environments we inhabit.
